Join us for a special celebratory concert, ten years to the day since OSP's first performance with Artistic Director Ben Palmer in St Paul's Church, Covent Garden. The programme features four of OSP's principal players as soloists in Haydn's delightful Sinfonia Concertante, and concludes with one of Mozart's best-loved symphonies, the 'Linz', No. 36. The concert opens with the briefest of fanfares by Stravinsky, written for the opening of the New York State Theater, and Heinrich Biber's astonishing polytonal Battalia, full of descriptive 'battle' special effects.
